"Dear Mama & Rod- What a ride up, it was awful - so hot. It's grand here tho. I have a very nice room & good bed. I'm still very tired. Food nice. I met two darling girls from S.F. We're just going to breakfast now. It's hot, but grand. I need it. Quite a crowd here. Must run now I'll write more later. Write me - Love, Ness"
