Stage Coach from Calistoga, circa 1912
In the summer the ride from Calistoga to Harbin was often very hot and dusty. Those riding actually in the coach were subject to all the dust kicked up by six horses and four wagon wheels. The message on this card dated May 10, 1912 says "Got up here OK, sat on top of the stage so was alright after all. Middletown is some town. Love, Alice"
