New Vehicle-free Zone this Summer
In an effort to reduce noise and emissions from the pool and massage areas, the road above the gazebo has been designated a vehicle-free zone on weekends after 3 PM on Friday. Cars with blue disability placards or plates are exceptions. Luggage shuttle service will be available Friday 3-9, Saturday 12-6, and Sunday 12-6. We've really noticed the difference since experimenting with this system, and we think you'll appreciate the renewed peace and quiet.
Hidden Cold Plunge now reopened
Guest from the 80's or earlier may have remembered our little spring-fed cold plunge that was located near the heart-shaped pool, but had been covered over with decking platforms. Well, we've recovered and revitalized the pool, which offers a bracing 56 degree plunge just steps from the sauna/steam complex. You'll love it!
Repair Projects Complete

Cell Tower Hearing Postponed Until Aug 5
Harbin Hot Springs has appealed to the Lake County Board of Supervisors to deny building of a cell tower by US Cellular on Harbin Springs Road. The Cell tower hearing in Lakeport on May 20 has been postponed on the request of US Cellular. As part of the process of Harbin’s appeal to the Lake County Board of Supervisors, a site planner and a radio frequency expert were contracted. Their reports indicated that the project should have been treated as a major project instead the one for a minor use permit and that co-location by US Cellular is possible at Edge tower. One of these reports was completed very recently. We submitted these reports to the Planning Department, Board of Supervisors and US Cellular. After reviewing these reports US Cellular felt they needed more time to respond. The next meeting is now scheduled for August 5, 2008 at 1:30 PM.
