Camping at
Harbin is an affordable alternative to indoor lodging. Campers
have full use of Harbin facilities, including the trails, pools,
showers, guest kitchen, guest refrigerators, etc. You may also
attend any of the many free guest events, or take advantage of
massages, meals or other services offered at additional cost.
Our most popular
camping sites sit in the woods along Harbin Creek, which is a
dramatic force during the rainy season, but calms to a pleasant
stream throughout the summer. Raised camping decks dot the area,
but most visitors choose to set up camp on Mother Earth. Parking,
flush toilets, sinks and an outdoor shower with warm water are
available in the area. The mainside pool area is approximately
10 minutes away via a peaceful walk through the woods.
Another camping
option during the dryer summer months is the mainside sleeping bag
deck. Located just steps from the pool area, this wooden deck
provides incredible star gazing from the comfort of your own sleeping
bag. Tents are not allowed here, and spots are available on a first-come
basis.
There are
a limited number of parking spaces large enough to accommodate
RVs up to 24 feet in length. However, hookups and dumping stations are not provided, and
generators are not to be operated during your stay.
Camping reservations
are not required, however we ask you to arrive in daylight hours
to avoid disturbing your neighbors. Please bring a flashlight.
Campers should come prepared for rain, especially in the winter
months, as Harbin does not rent tents or other camping equipment.
Because of fire danger, no camp stoves or fires are allowed
at any time.

Tent Cabins now available
Perfect for those who want a camping experience without the hassle of setting up their own tent, Harbin's tent cabins can be reserved by phone in advance, just like a room. Choose from the family tent cabins near the Meadow area (children allowed) or the new tent cabins by the Domes center (adults only). Click here for rates.
